What to expect?

• Lessons will start in September, 2024 and will run for two and a half months, in Hamamatsu.

• Lessons will be on the weekends, mostly on Sundays.

• Online sessions will be on Zoom. Make sure to have the suitable device/s such as an iPad or laptop to fully participate.

• Venues for face-to-face sessions will be announced closer to the date.

• The introductory course fee of only ¥75,000 shall be remitted to FETJ-Global's official JP Post bank account. More details here.

• Payment of at least 50% of the course fee will guarantee you a spot.

• The remaining 50% can be paid in two or three installments. Full payment should be done before the practicum.

• You will receive more details and the course materials upon confirmation of your registration.

Course Content

The PATHWAYS TESOL/TEFL Certification Course offers a comprehensive understanding of English language teaching, especially in the context of Japan. Throughout the course, you will be immersed in lessons and activities to dig deeper into key principles of second language learning and teaching and develop essential skills for teaching language skills effectively.

You will explore innovative approaches such as task-based learning and CLIL, and learn to integrate technology into language learning. There is a variety of special topics that will cover areas such as online teaching, professional development, teaching for specific contexts, team teaching, and psychology in ELT.

Toward the end of the course, you will gain practical experience through a practicum and receive final certification upon completion.
